Sorry for not updating yesterday y'all. After finally getting home on the last day of my first week at school, I just wanted to chill. So, I did. :) I wanted a marathon of Kitchen Confidential online, ate a BUNCH of chocolate (chocolate chip cookies, chocolate filled pastries, AND chocolate froyo YUM!), and just relaxed. It was kinda nice. I stayed up late, did some HW, and tried to let my aching feet stop working.
Why are my feet aching? I'll let you in on my "lovely" Friday.
Before I start: I just knew I was going to have to do a lot of walking that day. How did I know? I chose to wear high heeled boots. Because they hurt if I walk more than average, I knew I was going to have to that day. But aching feet were just one of my troubles, what really kinda stunk was that Friday became embarrass me day.
Now, that's not necessarily BAD. My day wasn't terrible or anything; it seemed kind of normal. ......But it was kinda like "GROAN". First period (Chemistry): the computer hated me. Therefore I had to stand at the front to use the laptop to register for our hw and I could swear everyone would look over at me. Right after first period, I went down the wrong hallway, meaning MORE walking. In AB calc (2nd period): I totally graphed stuff wrong and I felt like a huge idiot and almost had a mental break down (I mean, if I can't do a simple absolute value graph, how will I survive two calculus classes?). I love my calculus teacher, Mrs. Bain.....but boy is she embarrassing.
Moment 1) During AB class, she asked if I knew how to use the calculator. In front of the class full of juniors. 2) During BC class (3rd period), she ask if I was completely lost yet. We're currently doing derivative stuff and that's the only chapter I worked on during the summer, so I figured out the simple things. So my answer is "No, I kind of know how to do this." She's confused. I explain. "Good for you!" Yay! I'm now the overachiever in the class. Fun. 3) She later ASKS me to find the derivative of a problem, I answer. Her response? "Give her a round of applause everyone! She hasn't even taken AB yet and she know how to do this, which I'm sure one of you guys have forgotten how to." Awkward. 4) Somehow it comes to the point that the class realizes I have her class two periods in a row and they're all like, "what why?" "Because I'm taking both AB and BC." "WHAT? HOW!" "It's like a tutoring class." "So you have double the hw?" "...yes." Now I'm also crazy. 4) Later, I forget my lunch box (which also causes me to do a BUNCH of walking). So, I go back to her class before lunch. ...but she has a class. Right as me and Ting (that's my friend's name btw) are about to leave, Mrs. Bain answers the door. "Oh hi!!!!" She introduces me to the class, I just say I wanna look for my lunchbox, she says go ahead. I make my way through the jungle of juniors (it's an AB class) and she makes another announcement that I have her for two periods. "Tell them what they are!" "uhhh, AB and BC calc." Again: "WHAT? WHY?" then some "Are you smart or something? "Do you tutor?" Basically I grabbed my bag and ran. X)
I love her, but it's like being with a parent/grandma or something.
As for the walking, later I end up having to go get my ID (FINALLY), but I'm basically half running because I have a practice english test next period. Running.......in high heels.......up stairs.........isn't fun. Then, after school, I walked out the wrong door (which turns out is the RIGHT door), so I had to go back and go around. My bus drops me off at the corner like it's supposed to for the first time, and I have to walk home.
But like I said, that's school. :)
Fin,
